Safety
No matter how bad it is. As long as we all go home in one piece, we'll call it a good day.

Safety

As with any construction project, safety is always a concern when pouring concrete.
Site Setup Considerations
Where will the truck be set up?
If we’re operating from the street, consider whether there will be significant traffic. You may need cones or flaggers to clearly mark the work zone.
If we’re backing into your site, be aware of overhead wires and potential underground hazards. Septic tanks are especially common in agricultural areas and cannot support the weight of our truck. In older neighborhoods, abandoned septic or underground oil tanks may still be present. We’ve discovered a few by accident—and it makes for a bad day.
Delivery Responsibility
All deliveries are offloaded from the street unless otherwise instructed by the customer.
The customer assumes all responsibility for damage or towing if the truck is brought off the road.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
We strongly advise the use of proper protective clothing:
- Gloves and rubber boots are essential.
- Safety glasses are strongly recommended.
Wet concrete is a strong alkali undergoing chemical reactions. Contact with bare skin can cause irritation or chemical burns. If concrete gets inside your boots or wets your clothing and remains in contact, it can have an abrasive effect.
Small scratches allow the wet chemistry to penetrate the outer layer of skin, potentially leading to severe chemical burns.
